Even though there are only 4 games to go before the end of the 2016/17 Serie A table, both Roma and AC Milan have something to play for. The hosts still have a slight chance of getting Champions League football as they are 8 points behind Lazio in 4th with 4 games to play. Roma have an even slighter chance of winning the league as they are trailing Juventus by 9 points but with Napoli only a point behind them, they’ll want to consolidate 2nd spot.
Roma have dominated this fixture in recent years as they have won 3 of the last 6 meetings between the sides with 2 draws with AC Milan only winning once. The meeting between the teams back in December saw Roma narrowly win 1-0.

If AC Milan want any chance of securing a Champions League place, they’ll need to win against Roma but it’ll have to be a mighty performance for them to even take a poit from the game at the San Siro. Luca Antonelli will miss out at left-back through injury but other than that, they have a fully available squad except Giacomo Bonaventura, who has missed out since the end of January.

To keep pressure on Juventus at the top of the table, Roma will have to take all 3 points back to the capital with them. However, they’ll be without a few key players for the clash at the San Siro. Alessandro Florenzi, Kevin Strootman and Antonio Rudiger will all miss the game and they could all prove to be big misses.

Roma head into the game as favourites but AC Milan won’t roll over because they still have a glimmer of hope of achieving a place in next season’s Champions League. AC Milan will have to make sure they defend the threat of Dzeko up front whilst making sure they are creating chances of their own for Bacca to convert. It should be a decent game as far as end of season games go and could easily go either way depending who wants it more on the day.
