After an incredible 4-0 win for PSG in the first leg of this UEFA Champions League last 16 tie, Spanish champions, Barcelona, will struggle massively to pull this tie around and go through to the quarter-final of this season’s competition. The first leg between the French and Spanish champions was expected to be much closer but PSG’s devastating attacking power proved far too much for Barcelona’s defence. It would have to be a brilliant performance for Barca to turn the 4-goal deficit on its head, but they are certainly capable of doing just that.
The last 7 meetings between the sides have been quite even as Barcelona have won 3, PSG have won 2 and there have been 2 draws. In 5 of these games both teams have scored and there have been more than 2.5 goals.
Barcelona will have to show a lot of attacking prowess if they want to progress in the competition and to come away with a win over the two legs, they will need a full team available, which they have pretty much got. Jeremy Mathieu and Aleix Vidal will miss the game through injury but Messi, Suarez and Neymar are all fit and are all in great form, they will certainly have to turn up on the night.

PSG will have to stay strong defensively to make sure they go through to the quarter-final after a huge victory in the first leg. They will need all of their best players at their disposal which they have got. However, Thiago Motta, Adrien Rabiot and the star of the first leg, Angel Di Maria, will all miss the second leg. Di Maria is a huge loss as his work on the counter attack is vital for PSG’s attack.

PSG shouldn’t have too many problems getting through to the next round after such an emphatic first leg but we all know what Barcelona can do at the Nou Camp. A win for Barcelona on the night is expected but it will be a great shock if PSG don’t make it through.
