The 2018/19 Serie A campaign is getting very interesting as it nears its business end. Cagliari and Inter kick off the weekend’s action as they face off on Friday evening.

- Cagliari have had a particularly mediocre season so far and while they seem to be doing enough to avoid relegation, they need to pick up quite a few more points as they currently sit 14th. - Leonardo Pavoletti has steered Cagliari away from the bottom three and he is their leading scorer with nine league goals.
- Surprisingly Mauro Icardi is on the same total for Inter and they will be hoping he can increase his tally if they are to secure a top-four finish.

Inter have dominated the recent meetings between the sides as they have won five of the last six including each of the last four. Those four wins have all been by at least two goals as they have scored 14 over the course of those matches. There have been over 2.5 in six out of the last seven league meetings, although the only one with fewer than 2.5 was when they last met back in September where Inter won 2-0.
