AC Chievo Verona
vs
AS Roma

The 2018/19 Serie A season has just passed its halfway stage and the rest of the campaign looks to be as exciting as ever. Following Lazio’s win on Thursday night, Roma travel outside the capital as they visit Chievo.
It will come as little shock that Roma have dominated the recent meetings against Chievo as they haven’t been beaten by them since 2012, a run spanning 12 league games. Although, Roma have won just one of their last four away matches against the relegation-threatened side. Six of the last seven meetings have seen over 2.5 goals with both teams scoring in five of those.
A very unlikely win for Chievo wouldn’t see them move off the bottom of the table but they would take a step towards safety. Andrea Seculin and top scorer Pellissier will miss out through injury as Nenad Tomovic faces a late fitness test. Latest matches: AC Chievo Verona

The visitors would go into 4th if they were to win ahead of the weekend’s fixtures but may lose ground if they fail to pick up all three points. Lorenzo Pellegrini is suspended while Cengiz Under and William Bianda are both injured. Latest matches: AS Roma

Even though Roma might not have been in top form so far this term, they should more than enough to overcome bottom club Chievo on Thursday. It’s a fixture that usually produces goals which is why backing Roma to win and over 2.5 goals might be wise.
