The Premier League’s notoriously busy schedule is well underway and after a hectic Saturday, there is more action on Sunday as Tottenham make the trip up north to face Everton.
Everton aren’t able to take any confidence from their recent form against Tottenham as they haven’t beaten the North London side in over six years. In the 11 meetings since, five have ended as draws while Spurs have won the other six, including each of the last three. The last time they faced off was almost a year ago in a game where Tottenham ran out 4-0 winners. Those last three wins have all produced over 2.5 goals and the way they’re playing right now, this game could be a classic.
After falling behind their direct rivals, Everton can go back to 8th in the table with an unlikely victory. Although, they are potentially going to be lacking options in midfield as both Andre Gomes and Idrissa Gueye are expected to miss out. Latest matches: Everton FC

Man City’s loss against Crystal Palace has provided Tottenham the chance to move within two points of them with a win. They have four key players unavailable as Jan Vertonghen, Davinson Sanchez, Eric Dier and Moussa Dembele will all watch on from the sidelines. Latest matches: Tottenham Hotspur

Despite playing away from home, Spurs are certainly favourites and they should be comfortable in the way they win, winning by at least two goals on Merseyside. Everton will be hoping to score but Tottenham are resolute at the back so a clean sheet for the visitors is a real possibility.
