There are only two more Serie A matchweeks ahead of their annual three-week winter break. This week sees two of the division’s biggest sides come together as Juventus host Roma on Saturday evening.
As two of the country’s elite teams, it hasn’t been easy to pick a winner when they come together. In the last six meetings, Juventus have the slight edge with three wins whilst Roma have two and the most recent match-up ended goalless back in May. There have been over 2.5 goals in the meetings just once in the last five while both teams have scored in just one.
Napoli play before Juve on Saturday so they can close the gap to five points but the hosts will be desperate to restore that advantage. Andrea Barzagli and Joao Cancelo miss out for the league leaders. Latest matches: Juventus Turin

If results go in their favour and they somehow beat Juventus, Roma can break back into the top four but it is very unlikely. Lorenzo Pellegrini and El Shaarawy aren’t expected to feature for them in Turin. Latest matches: AS Roma

In the form they are in, it is far too hard to look past a Juventus win as they look to increase their chance of a fully unbeaten campaign. Paired with Roma’s poor form, the champions could quite easily win the game by a couple of goals but backing them to win without Roma scoring looks like the best bet.
