The 2017/18 La Liga is drawing to a close and with most teams knowing their fate for next term, there is a lack of excitement surrounding the campaign’s climax. Sevilla, who have only played 33, travel to Valencia to face a Levante side that should be clear of the drop.
Levante haven’t won against Sevilla at the last five attempts with the last win against The White and Reds back in 2014. It’s a game that usually produces goals with both teams scoring in five of the last six meetings. However, the only one of those six not to follow the pattern was earlier this season, in December as neither side scored in a goalless draw.
A win for Levante would make them almost mathematically safe, especially because a loss for Deportivo, against Barcelona on Sunday, would confirm safety. Jefferson Lerma and Ruben Rochina are suspended for the match Giampaolo Pazzini and Ivan Lopez are amongst six injured players.

Sevilla desperately need three points in their hunt for European football again next term and with a team free of injury worries, they have a chance of making ground on the teams above.

While Sevilla would be seen by many as favourites for this one, their dire form in recent weeks means they aren’t as strong as usual. Levante can secure safety with a win and won’t sit back in front of their own fans. I expect both teams to score but it seems too hard to pick a clear-cut winner.
