The weekend action in the Premier League reaches a climax on Monday might as over-achieving promoted side, Wolves, make the trip to the home of the champions.
As mentioned, the last meeting between the sides ended as a 1-1 draw at Molineux near the beginning of the campaign. This was the first since in the league since 2012 where City had go on a run of five straight wins against Wolves. Their last three matches against each other in all competitions have produced just four goals with both teams scoring in just one of them.
It’s a must-win game for Man City at this point in the season as they are relentlessly chasing the tail of Liverpool. Aguero and Vincent Kompany both face late fitness tests as they are doubts for the clash. Latest matches: Manchester City

An unlikely win for the visitors would take them level on points with 7th-placed Watford in their quest for European football. They have the luxury of no injured players for one of their biggest games of the season. Latest matches: Wolverhampton Wanderers

It’s hard to imagine anything other than a Man City win in this one in spite of Wolves’ strong record against the top six. With both teams desperate to play attacking football, it might be a game that sees them both score however I expect the home side to dominate and keep a clean sheet while scoring at least two goals. Therefore, backing City to win with a -1 handicap seems wise.
