It’s hard to focus on anything except the World Cup at the moment as the opening game, on Thursday, is at the top of every football fan’s agenda. There is just one more day of the pre-tournament warm-up matches and that sees Poland face Lithuania on Tuesday night.
Lithuania will actually take confidence from their recent record against Poland as they have won two of the last five meetings whilst only losing once. In their last fixture together, it ended goallessly and certainly won’t stick in the mind of any supporters. There have been over 2.5 goals just once in the last five meetings.
The hosts are expected to be conservative in this friendly with the World Cup just days away. The main decision is whether Wojciech Szczesny or Lukasz Fabianski will start in goal next week. Latest matches: Poland

With nothing to play for the visitors, they can afford to make bold decisions and as they did against Iran, they will probably use a lot of their subs. Latest matches: Lithuania

Despite wanting to avoid injury and over-exertion, Poland should win this one and get the perfect final work out before travelling to Russia for a potentially huge tournament. Lithuania will provide little threat but might fancy their chances with the Polish expected to be very cautious.
