Each Ligue 1 team has played one game after the 2018/19 season kicked off last week. The second week of fixtures starts on Friday evening as Lyon travel to Stade Reims as both side look to build on opening day wins.
With Reims spending the last two years in Ligue 2, it’s been a while since their last meeting. Their last one, in May 2016 brought a huge shock as Lyon were beaten 4-1 following the earlier fixture in the season that finished 1-0 to Lyon. Both teams have scored in three of the last four meetings and none of the previous eight have finished as draws.
Another win for Reims would be huge in their bid for survival this term but they’re up against it playing against some big sides. They have no injuries heading into the clash. Latest matches: Stade Reims

It would be a big early season problem for the Champions League side if they fail to beat one of the promoted teams in their second game. Anthony Lopes is suspended between the sticks and Fernando Marcal is injured but other than that, they go into it unscathed.

Lyon are undoubtedly big favourites heading into this one but Reims have already showed that they can overcome French top-flight regulars. The game is expected to see over 2.5 goals with Lyon more than likely to come out as winners.
