The SC Freiburg vs. Bayern Munich match will be played on Friday, January 20, at the Schwarzwald stadium, Freiburg. Freiburg is currently 8th on the table with 23 points, while Bayern Munich is currently 1st on the table with 39 points.

Bayern Munich is in a series of six victories in a row in competitive matches.

Bayern Munich scored 16 goals in the last six competitive games. Also, they kept a clean sheet in the last four matches.

Freiburg is in a series of four games without a defeat in competitive matches. However, they played five friendly matches in January and recorded only one victory.

In their previous ten meetings Bayern recorded seven victories, Freiburg won one match, while two matches ended as a draw. It is interesting that in their last match, played in 2014/15 season when Freiburg got relegated, Freiburg recorded a 2:1 victory.

Most of the teams in Germany haven't played many friendly matches during the winter break. Freiburg played five, against solid opponents. However, they defeated only Vaduz, PSV and Club Brugge recorded easy victories against them, while the matches against Sparta Prague and Karlsruher ended as a draw. Their primary goal is to avoid the relegation battle and they will probably focus on the next home match they'll play, against Hertha on January 29. All important first team players will be ready for the forthcoming match.

Bayern Munich put Leipzig on their place in their previous match in Bundesliga. They are in a great form and their primary goal is to extend their lead in Bundesliga and focus on Champions League. They have some problems with injured players. Jerome Boateng and Kingsley Coman aren't healthy yet, while Thiago Alcantara sustained a thigh injury on training and he is doubtful for the forthcoming match.

Everything except a routine victory for Bayern would be a surprise. Since they kept a clean sheet in the last three Bundesliga games, there is a big possibility they will win without conceding a goal against Freiburg.
