After the Premier League took a break last weekend for the FA Cup, it has returned to its normal state this weekend. In Sunday’s late kick-off, Tottenham play host to Manchester United.
The meetings between the two big English sides in recent years couldn’t have been more even as both sides have won four of the last eight. Discounting the most recent match, in those games, it has been the team playing at home who has come away with the victory. It was Spurs who picked up a rare win at Old Trafford back in August as the blew away the Red Devils with a 3-0 win.
As Man City play on Monday night, Tottenham can leapfrog them with a win on Sunday. However, they may be without Lucas Moura, Jan Vertonghen and Eric Dier who all face late fitness tests. Latest matches: Tottenham Hotspur

With Arsenal failing to beat West Ham, United have the chance to close the gap between the teams to just a point on Sunday afternoon. Their only real injury worry is Alexis Sanchez who may be unavailable. Latest matches: Manchester United

Despite both teams scoring in just one of the last four meetings, I expect it to happen this weekend as both sides are in good goalscoring form. Spurs will be confident of picking up a win on home soil but they face an in-form team who are experiencing high morale under their new interim boss. Tottenham are slight favourites to take all three points but it could quite easily end as a draw.
