The Premier League is heading into its annual hectic festive period and there is a full round of midweek fixtures this week. One of those sees Watford play host to runaway league leaders Manchester City.
Watford’s recent record against Man City certainly doesn’t make good reading as they have lost each of the last eight meetings in all competitions. The Citizens have scored three or more goals in the last three of those whilst Watford have scored in three of those eight fixtures. The most recent game saw City win 3-1 in January thanks to goals from Aguero and Sterling.
As mentioned, Watford can move up the table if they somehow win Tuesday’s match. They are without Daryl Janmaat and Tom Cleverly for the clash.

The visitors can extend their lead at the top of the Prem over Liverpool to five points with a win. Aguero faces a late fitness test while Benjamin Mendy and Kevin De Bruyne remain out with the latter soon to return. Latest matches: Manchester City

There is no doubt that Man City are massive favourites to take the points on Tuesday night despite being away from home. Backing them with a handicap of one or two goals will probably be worthwhile as they continue their domination of English football.
